Took the huskies to the beach this morning on their walk. We came across this:
This is the kinda stuff that makes me believe Singaporian justice isn’t such a bad idea. The people that leave their trash like this, whether on the beach, in parks, in lakes, on the side of the road, wherever, are people who have little or no sense of personal responsibility. And if they are doing this, there are far worse and stupid things they are doing.
They are scum-sucking maggots who will only continue to behave like this (or worse.) People who probably offer no real benefit to society, and more likely, are a drain on it. People who will probably breed and spawn little scum-sucking maggots who will go on to also be of little use or benefit to society.
So yes – a good caning would, at the very least, make me feel better about it.

you’re 1000% right. without getting on a virtual soapbox it does say much about one’s lack of personal responsibility. on what planet (other than bizzaro) is it acceptable to throw your trash and cigarette butts out the car window. who do you think picks that stuff up?
the beach issue is another subject, especially if you live on the east coast and anywhere near New York because back in the day beaches would end up getting closed in New Jersey because of all of the trash washing up from the landfills and garbage barges after a big storm. (another reason besides snooki that I hate the jersey shore)

I get so GRRR when I see it. The world would be a much better place if every person had a good sense of personal responsibility and ethics. But then I should wish for unicorns and gumdrops falling from the sky too…
